What’s your stance on generative AI?

Modified on Wed, 15 Jul at 11:51 AM

We’re not fans… to put it mildly. TL;DR: We believe that AI-generated content should never overtake human voices, and that LLMs in their current form are unethically trained and applied. For these reasons, we will never integrate or use generative AI within Ellipsus.

We’ve also made it clear in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that we will never use your writing to train AI models, and will never share your writing or data with third parties for that purpose.

Re: services/tools used in Ellipsus

The short answer is that we can't control what "features" other services and platforms add, especially after we've already entered contracts with them.

All of the services and tools we use were initially selected because they were best in-class, and didn’t use generative AI as a core part of their workflow. But as time progresses, everyone is  bolting generative AI to their services and loudly broadcasting them to venture capitalists.

Across the board, Ellipsus user data—actual written content and personally-identifiable information—never touches any AI "feature" of any of those services.
